Drywall Repair and Patching in Sparta, NJ

The doorknob hole. The crack that reappears every winter over the same doorway. The water stain on a ceiling. The mess left behind when a TV bracket came off the wall. The seams that telegraph through the paint.

It's the damage people actually have, and most of it sits there because it's small.

What's included

  • Small patches and large section replacement.
  • Corner bead repair.
  • Taping and three-coat finishing.
  • Texture matching to the surrounding wall.
  • Ceiling repair.
  • Priming the patch so it doesn't flash through the paint.

The part that makes a patch good

A patch is only as good as the finish. Most bad patches are visible because somebody skipped a coat, or sanded while it was still damp. We take the coats we need to take.

A recurring crack over a door or window is usually movement, not a bad patch. Patching it again without addressing what's moving just resets the clock. We'll tell you when that's what's going on rather than cover it up and move on.

Water stains and ceilings

If there's a water stain on the ceiling, the ceiling is telling you something happened above it. We repair and refinish the drywall after a leak. The leak itself is a licensed plumber's job, and it needs to be fixed and dry before we touch the ceiling.
